Key Details:
- Compensation: $25‒28/hr. commensurate with experience
- Start date: June 2026
- End date: October 2026
- Location: Tehachapi, California
- Housing: Housing stipend will be provided to applicants that qualify
- Additional details: Vehicle will be provided or mileage reimbursed. Company vehicles are equipped with telematics systems for safety, operational efficiency, and compliance purposes. PS units and other field equipment will be provided by WEST; however, field technicians must be equipped with binoculars.
Job Description:
- Fieldwork will require long days in an air-conditioned tower scanning and monitoring GPS locations on California condors and interacting with staff on the ground to help active monitor condor activity.
- Early morning/sunrise starts are expected on some days.
- Work is full-time and is expected 16 hours per day for two days of work (Saturday and Sunday) and overtime is paid accordingly could be necessary depending on monitoring requirements.
